Srila Prabhupada Books – This also includes books written by Srila Prabhupada – Founder Acharya, International Society for Krishna Consciousness. Srila Prabhupada knew that philosophers and intellectuals around the world have had long admired the spiritual wisdom of Vedic writings like Upanishads, Puranas, Bhagavad Gita, etc. But he could also see that practically in every case the commentator had used the Vedic writings to present his own philosophy without presenting the essence of the original spiritual texts. In other words, the original message of Vedic writings was never really spoken or conveyed, so we readers never had the chance to know what (vedas) they have to tell us. That’s why Srila Prabhupada decided to present the vedic literature “as it is”.
